  • Cougar Buttes - Oct 10 - 12

    Cougar Buttes: It’s a rock-solid good time

Trade the city lights for starry nights out in the wide-open desert! Cougar Buttes is the ultimate playground for explorers—massive rock formations to climb, wide trails to roam, and campfires that feel extra cozy under that endless desert sky!

By day, we’ll scramble over boulders big enough to make you feel like Indiana Jones (minus the snakes). By night, we’ll swap the glow of cell phones for a billion stars overhead—and maybe a coyote lullaby or two.

It’s the perfect place for dads to prove they can still start a campfire without YouTube, and for kids to discover that the desert is basically nature’s playground. So pack your sense of adventure, your best ghost stories, and maybe an extra flashlight—because out here, even the shadows come to play!

Spin, twirl, and laugh the night away under the glow of jellyfish, playful sea otters, and shimmering tropical fish. From photo ops with your favorite undersea backdrops to fun music that will keep you on the dance floor, this night is all about fathers and daughters making unforgettable memories together.

So suit up, show up, and get ready for a fin-tastic evening filled with smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of love.

  • Magic Castle - Jan 24th

A Magical Day at the Magic Castle

Abracadabra, dads—it’s time to pull a perfect day out of your hat! Start with a magical brunch at Hollywood’s exclusive Magic Castle (yes, the one you usually need a secret password to enter). Then get ready for mind-blowing illusions, disappearing acts, and maybe even the classic “dad magically makes waffles disappear” trick.

Step behind the curtain and into a world of wonder! Prepare to be dazzled as master magicians take the stage with mind-bending tricks, sleight-of-hand, and plenty of surprises sure to leave everyone wide-eyed and smiling.

It’s the ultimate father–daughter outing: amazing food, world-class magic, and memories that won’t vanish anytime soon

  • Camp Oakes - Feb 27th - Mar 1st

Get ready to swap your slippers for snow boots!

The Father-Daughter Winter Campout at YMCA Camp Oakes is where hot cocoa flows, campfires crackle, and dads try (and fail) to remember how to pack a sleeping bag.

Expect frosty mornings, epic sled runs, and the chance to prove once and for all who’s better at building snowmen—dads or kids (spoiler: the kids).

So grab your beanies, bring your laughs, and let’s make this winter one to remember—because nothing says bonding like accidentally falling on your butt in the snow together!

47400 Monte Vista Dr, Big Bear, CA 92314

  • Dixon Lake - Mar 27th - 29th

Safari Park: No Monkey Business… Okay, Maybe Some

Pack your tents and your sense of adventure for a Father–Daughter Campout like no other. Spend a weekend under the stars at Dixon Lake, filled with campfires, laughter, and unforgettable bonding time.

Then get ready to go wild with a trip to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, where you and your daughter will explore exotic animals, roaring lions, and memories you’ll treasure for years.

From “panda-monium” to “un-bear-lievable” bonding moments, this trip guarantees more laughs than a hyena pack. So grab your safari hat (and your patience for puns)… because at the zoo, the animals aren’t the only ones clowning around.

  • Lake Cachuma - Apr 17th - 19th

Lake Cachuma Spring Campout — Where Dads & Daughters Bloom!

Join us for a springtime adventure at Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara, where the beauty of nature meets the richness of history. By day, we’ll hike, play, and explore the lake’s stunning surroundings—maybe even catch a glimpse into the heritage of the Chumash people, the original stewards of this land.

Nestled between rolling hills and sparkling waters, this beautiful campground is the perfect backdrop for outdoor fun, laughter, and lasting memories.

We’ll hike, play games, tell tall tales, and maybe even spot some wildlife (don’t worry, dads—the raccoons are friendlier than your snoring). At night, the stars will shine bright enough to make you forget about your Wi-Fi signal.

This spring, trade screen time for campfire time and create memories that will outlast your marshmallow stash.

    2225 CA-154, Santa Barbara, CA 93105

  • Vail Lake - May 15th - 17th

Camping, Cannonballs & Chaos at Vail Lake!

Dads—grab your gear, your daughters, and your sons (don’t forget the sunscreen), because we’re taking over Vail Lake in Temecula! This isn’t your average campout—sure, we’ll do the classics like tents, campfires, and telling spooky stories—but did we mention the multiple swimming pools? Yep, nothing says “roughing it” like doing a cannonball right after a hike.

Expect belly flops, dad jokes that make your kids groan, and maybe even a marshmallow or two mysteriously disappearing before they hit the fire (looking at you, dads).

So pack your swimsuit, your sense of adventure, and your best campfire jokes—because memories (and probably a few embarrassing pool splashes) are waiting to be made!

Fathers + Daughters + Sons = The Ultimate Camping Equation.

    38000 CA-79, Temecula, CA 92592

  • End of the year Campout - Jun 5th - 7th

    Year-End Campout & Graduation

Join us as we wrap up an unforgettable year with our CA Wild Year-End Camp & Graduation Ceremony at YMCA Camp Surf! We’ll be camping right on the sand, falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves, and waking up to sunrises over the ocean.

This weekend is more than just camping — it’s a celebration of all the adventures, friendships, and memories we’ve shared. We’ll gather around the campfire, splash in the surf, and honor our graduating campers with a special beachside ceremony they’ll never forget.

    Camping. Surfing. Celebrating. Graduating.
Don’t miss this perfect blend of seaside fun and heartfelt tradition. Pack your gear, bring your spirit of adventure, and let’s send our campers off in style!

As in years past this location may have to be adjusted depending on the water, we have a back up planned just in case.

560 Silver Strand Blvd, Imperial Beach, CA 91932

  • Federation Family Camp - Kern River Jun 25 - 28

Family Summer Camp at Frandy Campground

This summer, pack up the tents and the bug spray—it’s time for a family adventure that’ll rock (literally, we’ve got live music). By day, we’ll float down the Kern River, floating down the river is a lot like parenting...
You mostly go with the flow, and sometimes you just spin in circles.

By night, we’ll gather ‘round the campfire for tunes under the stars, s’mores that stick to everything, and stories you’ll be retelling until next summer.

So grab your flip-flops, your inner tube, and your best campfire dance moves—because at Frandy Campground, the memories will flow as smoothly as the river (and hopefully with fewer spills).

The entire campground is booked by OC YMCA. A full family celebration to close the season! All Orange County Expeditions and families are invited.

1252 Kernville Rd, Kernville, CA 93238
